JOHNSTOWN—You are cordially invited to join the board and staff of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies for our annual Founders’ Day event.

This event will feature a field-to-table menu highlighting ingredients from farms in Bedford, Cambria, and Somerset counties, plus other refreshments. Participating farmers will also have booths at our pop-up farmers’ market — so make plans to shop!

Founders’ Day is our way to thank our donors and report to them and the community about the Foundation’s activities from the past year. The fresh food and farmers’ market are an added bonus that highlights some of our latest work. Please feel free to join us,” said Mike Kane, President, and Executive Director.

This year at our celebration our Youth Philanthropy Interns will announce the recipients of two $25,000 grants. See how your donations have created a more vibrant, engaged, and beautiful community. Discover more about our grantmaking, featuring the Field-to-Fork Agricultural Incubator Kitchen at Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center. In our annual report to the community, learn how the Foundation has affected the region over the last year by connecting our donors to the causes they care about.
