Ghost Town Trail Extension Opening

Join the Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority, for the Trail Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that will officially open Stritty’s Way, the 8 mile extension of the Ghost Town Trail. Following the ceremony, walk or bike the new 8-mile path.

When the entire 15 mile extension is completed, this trail extension will form the first continuous loop rail-trail in the U.S.

Bike Sojourn: If you plan to participate in the Bike Sojourn, please RSVP to Leanna Bird at LBird@co.cambria.pa.us by Sept. 15th. There will be an 8 mile and a 16 Mile (out and back) option. A free shuttle bus spot will be reserved for the 8 mile sojourn participants who RSVP.

Directions: From Ebensburg, take 422-W 8.9 miles; Turn Right onto Vic Miller Rd. Drive .1 mile to trail head. From Johnstown, take 271-N to 422-W. Turn Left onto 422-W and drive 1.6 miles; Turn Right onto Vic Miller Rd. Drive .1 mile to trailhead. From Indiana, Take 422-E 16 miles; Turn left onto Vic Miller Rd. Drive .1 mile.

This Project was funded by a PennDOT TAP Grant, with funding assistance from the Community Initiatives Fund and the Penelec Fund for the Future of Greater Johnstown through the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
