Hudec Family Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for a senior Bishop McCort Catholic High School hockey player. If no seniors are eligible, the scholarship may be given to a junior. This fund may also distribute grants to eligible non-profit organizations.

Hudnall Family Award Fund

To provide awards to an 8th grade boy and girl at United School District.

Humane Society of Cambria County Fund

To provide support for the Humane Society of Cambria County to help carry out its mission of finding forever homes for abandoned, abused and neglected, stray, and surrendered animals.

Huston Township Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support to graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education at accredited institutions, and who are residents of Huston Township.

Hyatt Walker Fleegle Memorial Trust Fund, Hyatt’s Angels

To help support families in the loss of a child in the memory of their son Hyatt Walker Fleegle.

Iapalucci and Link Business Scholarship Fund

To provide $1,000.00 in scholarship support for graduating seniors at Penn Cambria High School who will be pursuing either a two- or four-year degree in a business-related program.

ICTC Heidi Allison Character Award Fund

To memorialize Heidi Allison, a health occupations instructor at ICTC, who touched countless hearts and had an especially profound impact on her students. Heidi will be remembered for nurturing young lives into adulthood through kindness, compassion, integrity and respect, exemplifying the foundational attributes that enhance student success in the classroom and beyond. Each year a graduating senior from ICTC will be awarded the Heidi Allison Character Award to recognize and affirm the importance of these basic character traits to a productive and fulfilling life, whether it involves advancing one’s education, entering the workforce or contributing to one’s community.

Ida Mae (Maggs) Ellis Scholarship

To provide a $1,000 cash scholarship, to a deserving female student graduating from Conemaugh Township High School. She must meet the following criteria: be the “first generation” in her family to be entering a post-secondary college or trade school, and is not receiving any other scholarships. Character and general citizenship will also be given consideration in this selection.

To benefit the Indiana Area School District.

Indiana Co. Fire Chiefs Association Student Scholarship Award Fund

To provide scholarship awards to individuals who reside in a member organization’s service area in recognition for community service. Eligible applicants should be a high school senior or high school graduate pursuing full-time post-secondary education at an accredited college/university, business, or trade school up to their third academic year.

Indiana Community Garden Fund

To support the Indiana Community Gardens, a community organization that promotes gardening and education, located in Indiana, PA.

Indiana Community Garden Youth Garden Fund

To support the Indiana Community Garden Youth Garden Program, a community organization that promotes gardening and education, located in Indiana, PA.

Indiana County Conservation District Educational Center Fund

To provide support for costs associated with the creation and programming of the ICCD Education Center, including costs for landscaping and outdoor educational program development.

Indiana County Conservation District Fund

To provide support for targeted uses that align with the long-range mission of Indiana County Conservation District, including to support and grow their services capacity for beneficial community impact.

Indiana County Parks and Trails Legacy Fund

Shall be donor advised in support of the Indiana Park and Trail System, one of Pennsylvania’s most diverse and progressive. It also supports historic sites, natural areas, covered bridges, and the festival of lights.

Indiana County Technology Center Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for technically skilled students attending Indiana County Technology Center.

International Heart Spasms Fund

To provide support for the International Heart Spasms Alliance, a group whose mission is to educate, inform, and enlighten healthcare professionals and the public about difficult-to-diagnose heart conditions so that they are quickly and appropriately recognized, treated, and respected, with the patient at the heart of care.

iPACT Fund

To support patient recovery through the use of technology.

IRA Implementation Fund

To provide support for identifying and interviewing market movers that are most likely to drive the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act and that will set the stage for key state-wide efforts and drive local projects forward.

Irene Panci Gladstone Trust Fund

To be used for scholarship support as determined by the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.

Isaac Kelly “Built Different” Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for senior students at Homer-Center High School who have participated in varsity track and are pursuing post-secondary education, with preference given to students going into an arts-related field.

Isadore Suchman Fund

To benefit the David A. Glosser Memorial Library by providing an honorary bookshelf that will hold reference books on genealogy, and a computer that can be used by local residents and visitors to track their historical roots.

Italian Abruzzi Cultural Heritage Foundation Fund

To provide support for any project that offers mutual aid, education, and recreation to the members of the Italian Abruzzi Cultural Heritage Foundation and also projects that benefit only the residents of the communities that make up the governing body of the Windber Area School District: Windber, Paint, and Scalp Level Boroughs and Paint and Ogle Townships.

J.L. Martin Scholarship Fund

To support graduating seniors of Somerset County School District who plan to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution, who have financial need and will likely succeed in their pursuit of post-secondary education.

Jack Buchan, Sr. Trojan Stadium Award Fund

To provide a scholarship to a Johnstown High School graduating football player who has demonstrated academic excellence, good character, sportsmanship, leadership, and financial need.

Jack E. Tipton Memorial Graduation Award Fund

To provide a $1,000.00 graduation award to a graduating senior at Rockwood Area High School.

Jackson Community Benefits Fund

To support projects or activities for the benefit of the Jackson Township Community.

Jacob Fend Foundation

The purpose of the Jacob Fend Fund shall be to provide support for non-profit charitable or educational organizations that engage in activities related to early childhood education in the Greater Johnstown region, consisteent with the requirements of The Jacob Fend Foundation, including the Jacob Fend Foundation Rules and Regulations to Determine Eligibility. Distributions, as set forth in Section 5, shall be made only to children between the ages of three (3) and prior to attaining eighteen (18) years of age who reside within the Greater Johnstown Municipalities, as set forth in The Jacob Fend Foundation Rules and Regulations to Determine Eligibility, which are incorporated herein by reference.

Jacqueline A. Huff-McCann Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide a scholarship to a graduating senior at Richland High School who is planning to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown majoring in accounting.

James and Laura Clark Scholarship Fund

To provide an annual $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduating senior at Westmont Hilltop School District who will be pursuing secondary education and majoring in business or political science. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and participation in extra-curricular activities, as the winning student should be well-rounded and self-motivated.

James and Shirley Wagner Charitable Fund

To support charitable efforts in the Greater Johnstown region.

James and Shirley Wagner Girl Scouts Fund

To support the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania scouting programs in the Greater Johnstown region.

James B. Stoughton and Louise Stoughton Maust Producers Fund

To help ensure that ticket prices at the Mountain Playhouse will remain affordable to patrons of all economic levels.

James E. Mayer and William S. Mayer, Jr. Fund

To provide an annual benefit to the Johnstown Flood Museum. The Mayer brothers supported the formation of the Flood Museum.

James Ellis Mayer Fund

To support unrestricted grantmaking as determined by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee, through the Fund for the Future.

James Ellis Opera House Fund

To provide an annual benefit to the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Ellis owned an Opera House on Locust Street in Johnstown in the early 1900s.

James Kocher Memorial Music Scholarship Fund

To provide a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 annually to a Westmont Hilltop High School senior student. The student selected is to be pursuing a major or minor degree in music. Mr. Kocher’s love of music inspired his family to create this endowment in 2007. Mr. Kocher conducted the Johnstown Reed Band for 25 years, was a clarinetist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, music director at Franklin St. Methodist Church and choir director for the Westmont Church of the Brethren. Created as a part of the 100 Families Project.

James V. and Concetta M. Saly Fund

To provide an endowment that will benefit Windber Hospice Foundation, Altoona-Johnstown Catholic Diocesan Foundation, and the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Jamestown Rod and Gun Club Post-Secondary Education Award Fund

To provide scholarship support for a graduating high school senior from the mainline region of Cambria County. Eligible students will primarily attend Portage Area, Penn Cambria, Forest Hills and Bishop Carroll Catholic High Schools, but students who are home schooled or attend cyber/charter schools within those districts are also eligible to apply. Students must demonstrate a solid commitment to home, school, and community.

Jane and Albert Francis Fund

To provide an endowment to benefit Somerset County area and ongoing interests of the family.

Janet Bala Anthony Scholarship Fund

To provide a $500 scholarship to a graduating Greater Johnstown High School student intending to major in education with a concentration in English. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Janet Beerman Free Dental Clinic Fund

To provide an endowment, which will benefit the Johnstown Free Dental Clinic, established by Community Foundation board member Abe Beerman, in memory of Janet Beerman.

Janet Bittner Nursing Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for graduating seniors from Salisbury-Elk High School who are planning to pursue post-secondary education in the nursing field.

Janice Keen Livingston Memorial Park Fund

To create and maintain the Janice Keen Livingston Memorial Park that honors local EMS personnel, police officers and firemen.

Jean Hadfield Scholarship Fund

To provide a scholarship award to the Valley High School valedictorian to support their attendance to an accredited post-secondary institution to pursue a baccalaureate degree.

Jeanne Allen Memorial Fund

To support unrestricted grantmaking as determined by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee, through the Fund for the Future.

Jeff Dull Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for two scholarship awards per year. One scholarship/monetary gift will be given to a Bedford County Technical Center student. This may be a monetary gift or scholarship. The student can be from any of the sending schools to BCTC. The second scholarship will be for a Bedford High School Student who is continuing his/her education at a post high school school/university.

Jeff Maurer Memorial Award Fund

To recognize individuals in Somerset County who make a difference in their school or hometown. Award winners may be high school students, who will receive scholarships to be used in their post-secondary education, or adults, who will be able to direct the award to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

Jeffrey L. Heiple Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide a $500 scholarship to a deserving male senior athlete from the Somerset Area School district, who is entering post-secondary education. This student must have participated in Somerset high school football or basketball. The recipient will be selected by the Jeffrey L. Heiple Memorial Scholarship committee, and will be based on: need, character and general citizenship, and attendance of an accredited post-secondary program of their choosing. Special consideration will be given if the athlete participated in the “Little Eagle Football” program, but is not required.

Jenner Community Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for a graduating senior from North Star High School who plans to pursue any type of post-secondary educational program, ranging from one to four years, who lives in the community of Jenners.
