Unity Coalition of the Southern Alleghenies Fund
To support the activities of the Unity Coalition of the Southern Alleghenies, an organization created to fight oppression of fellow humans by education forums for the public, unification actions, and change actions. These efforts may encompass events, education, or material needed, including but not limited to fundraisers, rallies, literature, scholarships, and advertising.
Unity Towards Hope Fund
To provide support for Torrance State Hospital patients, patient services and programming, employee enrichment and development, hospital infrastructure and services.
Uphouse Family Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarship support for graduating senior students at Somerset Area High School.
UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital Employee Emergency Fund
To provide short-term assistance to UPMC Bedford Memorial employees and their immediate families when uncontrollable events lead to extraordinary financial stress.
USS Pittsburgh Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarship support for crew members of U.S. Navy ships supported by the Pittsburgh Council of the Navy League of the United States, and their family members.
Valley Pike Manor Fund
To reflect the purposes of Valley Pike Manor to provide housing, education and supportive services to low income and homeless persons and to positively impact the larger 8th Ward Community.
Verma Family Sports and Activities Fund
The Verma Family Sports and Activities Fund has been established by Westmont graduate Richard Verma (Class of 1986) and his family to support Westmont Hilltop students who may need extra financial support to cover fees or other costs associated with after school sports or school activities.
Richard recalls the support he received from the ice hockey booster club in 1985 and 1986. “The booster club helped us at a time of need. I was so grateful for the support I received. This is a debt I’ve wanted to repay for 35 years, and so I’m very glad that with the help of the Community Foundation, and with generous matching gifts, we were able to establish this Fund to assist kids and families who may need the extra support.”
The Verma Family Sports and Activities Fund is endowed at the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. Earnings from the fund will support qualified students’ activities on a permanent basis. Distributions from the fund will be managed by the school district. Through matching programs, additional support for the fund was provided by the Ford Foundation, Mastercard, and T. Rowe Price. The fund is endowed at just over $100,000 value today, and is open for additional donations.
Verna K. Blough Oakland Playground Fund
To raise the funds necessary to repair, restore, replace, and maintain all elements of the Oakland Playground in Stonycreek Township.
Veteran Grove Fund
To provide support for operation and preservation of the Veteran Grove in downtown Bedford, PA.
Viking Pride Award Fund

To provide an endowment that will benefit primarily the Vintondale AMD&ART Park Treatment System and secondarily the immediately adjacent wetlands.

To provide support for Voices of Hope’s mission of creating awareness about rape culture from the survivors of sexual violence in order to prevent sexual assault from occurring.
VOMA Accelerator Fund
To develop infrastructure and programs for the integration and expansion of performance art, visual art, fine art, and education in the arts.
Walk of Hope – Somerset Fund
Donations are accepted to financially assist Somerset County cancer patients with their needs, which include medications, medical bills, travel, and other expenses.
Walter C. Allen, Jr. Fund U/W FBO Memorial Hospital of Bedford County Fund
To benefit UPMC Bedford (formerly Memorial Hospital of Bedford County). The fund should be used for improvements to the hospital facility, in memory of Walter C. Allen and Ethelle Allen, husband and wife and parents of Walter C. Allen, Jr.
Walter E. Wood Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships each year at Forest Hills High School until the total sum of the fund is expended.
Walter F. Mitchell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
