DESCRIPTION:As a thank you to the Johnstown community for the many years of support\, the Johnstown Concert Series is kicking off its 2021-2022 season with a FREE concert from 5-10pm at the Peoples Natural Gas Park on Saturday\, August 21\, 2021. While there will be No Admission charged\, Donations will be requested to benefit the Cambria County Backpack Program. Music will be by 20 + member The Altoona Brass Collective and the Johnstown Dixieland Jazz Band\, plus Kevin Solecki\, a strolling accordian player from Pittsburgh. Food trucks and beverages will be available.

DESCRIPTION:Highlands Health: Laurel Highlands Free & Charitable Medical Clinic\, a leading medical\, pharmaceutical\, and wellness care provider for the low income\, uninsured and underinsured residents of Laurel Highlands is preparing for its annual fundraiser concert featuring Donnie Iris and The Cruisers. \nHighlands Health in partnership with Employers Medical Access Partnership is featuring Donnie Iris and The Cruisers at the Clinic’s annual fundraiser concert. The event will be held Saturday\, August 24\, 2019 at Peoples Natural Gas Park in Johnstown\, PA.  \nDoors open at 6:00pm. Music starts at about 7:30\, and our headliner begins at 9:15. \nAround the early 1980s\, Donnie Iris and The Cruisers was formed by musicians Donnie Iris\, Mark Avsec\, Marty Lee Hoenes\, Kevin Valentine\, and Paul Goll. Pittsburgh icon Donnie Iris is generally considered to be the best screamer in rock and roll. At the age of 66\, he is now an elder statesman of rock and roll. He is a simple guy who loves old cars\, classic guitars\, good cigars\, Pittsburgh sports teams\, and his family and friends. Tickets are $5\, which will provide 6 weekend meals for a hungry child in Cambria County. Bring the whole family – children 10 and under enter free. \nThe Cambria County Backpack Project provides weekend meals to over 400 children every school year who are facing chronic hunger. The CCBP also connects parents to valuable resources such as food\, medical support and employment opportunities.
