SUMMARY:Founders' Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:We hope you will join us in celebrating our 36th Annual Founders’ Day\, which will be held on August 20\, 2026\, at The Grand Ballroom at Windber Recreation Park. The event will include dinner\, conversation\, and a presentation from our keynote speaker\, Dr. Joseph P. Croskey II. \nDr. Croskey is an educator\, veteran\, and international facilitator who helps individuals and organizations practice well-being and act compassionately. Dr. Croskey graduated from West Point\, completed Ranger School\, and served in the US Army as an Infantry officer for six years\, including service in Desert Storm. He sailed around the world with Semester at Sea. Dr. Croskey researched the benefits of mindfulness for his Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He teaches leadership and well-being programs to a variety of organizations\, including the United Nations\, via the Peace on Purpose program. He strives to help people practice inner peace\, thereby creating a compassionate outer impact. You might say he’s an all-around adventurer on a mission to spread positivity and inspire others to be their best selves. \nWe are looking forward to spending time together and are confident you will leave the event uplifted and encouraged.
