SUMMARY:Johnstown Walk of Hope
DESCRIPTION:This annual walking event is held the first Saturday of June from 9am to 12 noon at Trojan Stadium. JWOH offers support for cancer patients\, recognizes cancer survivors and raises money through donations\, concession stand and basket raffles. JWOH provides financial support to children and adults in our area who are in cancer treatment. Starting as a grass-roots organization in 2016\, we’ve supported thousands of applications for gas\, travel\, food\, utility bills\, medications and MANY other needs. When we say we KEEP HOPE CLOSE TO HOME! we mean that your donation\, whether large or small will directly go to the mission and needs of the people who need in\, right here in our local community.\nWe appreciate ALL the people who come to walk\, those to donate and those who help to spread the word about the Johnstown Walk of Hope!

DESCRIPTION:Team up with people whose lives have been touched by cancer\, with the Johnstown Walk of Hope. \nWHAT: Johnstown Walk of Hope\nWHEN: Saturday June 3\, 9:00am to 9:00pm\nWHERE: Trojan Stadium. 222 Central Ave\, Johnstown\, PA 15902 \nProceeds support the Johnstown Walk of Hope Fund at the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. \nAll of the money raised benefits local cancer patients\, their families\, and cancer nonprofits including: the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center\, Windber Research Institute\, the 1889 Foundation for patients at the Conemaugh Cancer Center\, UPMC Cancer Center\, and the Children are Precious Fund\, which supports families who need to travel out of the Johnstown Area for treatment. \nWe welcome you to walk one hour\, one lap\, or any part of the day. \nAnyone who feels affected by cancer will be able to leave messages and photos of loved ones on a WALL of HOPE. \nA Survivor Walk begins at 4pm\, followed by a Survivor and Caregiver Dinner. \nEnd the day with a Candlelight Remembrance Walk at 9pm. \nGo to our online donation site to form your own Walk of Hope fundraising team or to contribute directly to the fund. \nFind more information\, visit: johnstownwalkofhope.com \n
