Did you know that one in five children in Cambria County is unsure where their next meal is coming from? This Giving Tuesday season, you can do something to help those kids.
For every $5 donated to the Cambria County Backpack Project, a hungry child receives six meals—breakfast, lunch and dinner—for the weekend so they can return to school on Monday mornings ready to learn.
A donation to the Cambria County Backpack Project means you are helping to feed a hungry child in YOUR community. Project coordinators feed children in the Blacklick Valley, Ferndale, Forest Hills, Greater Johnstown, Portage, Richland and Westmont Hilltop school districts, and accept referrals from Mom’s House, Morellville Pre-K, and Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
