Bishop McCort Catholic High School Class of 1966 Scholarship Fund

To assist students to attend Bishop McCort Catholic High School with eligibility determined by Bishop McCort Catholic High School through the free and reduced lunch program criteria.

Blackburn Fund

To provide scholarships to Bedford County students who are interested in pursuing a career in the health care field and who intend to return to Bedford County upon graduation. Additionally, the fund supports other charitable efforts in Bedford County, including donations for equipment and program support to UPMC Bedford Memorial, scholarship support to the Allegany College of Maryland and Bedford County Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Blacklick Creek Watershed Association Fund

To provide an endowment which will benefit the activities of Blacklick Creek Watershed Association.

To provide support to charitable causes as advised by the donors.

Blanche Beerman Holocaust Museum Fund

To provide for yearly trips to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. for high school students in Cambria, Bedford, and Somerset counties.

Bobby L. Miller Memorial Athlete Award Fund

To make awards to selected senior athletes of the Berlin Brothersvalley High School who meet the criteria and qualifications as determined by the Miller Award Fund Committee.

To support local charitable causes of Indiana County and the building maintenance of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church of Strongstown.

Boyd Murray and Rev. Janice Murray Donor Advised Fund

To provide support for charitable causes as advised by the donors.

Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County Fund

To provide an endowment fund to support the programs, members, and future of the Boys and Girls Club of Somerset County.

Brad Clemenson Fund

To provide financial support for trails, bicycle or pedestrian infrastructure, and parks in Cambria and Somerset Counties, Pennsylvania, or on the September 11th National Memorial Trail or Main Line Canal Greenway in Pennsylvania. Such financial support may be used for these purposes: Development of new, expanded or improved and/or trails or parks; Maintenance of existing trails or parks; Support of staff who oversee, operate and/or maintain trails or parks.

Brad Wess Scholarship Fund

To present scholarship(s) annually to a local high school senior for academic excellence, community service and for providing leadership, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude as a member of their school’s hockey program.

Brian Lamar Scholarship Fund

To provide an endowment, which will create a scholarship to be distributed annually to a graduating senior from the Portage Area School District pursuing a career in the medical field.

Brian Swank Memorial Award Fund

To provide a yearly $200.00 award to a Portage Area High School senior basketball player.

Brian Wincer Goals 4 Education Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for senior students graduating from a school in Cambria or Somerset County. Eligible applicants should have a history of participation in high school athletics, studied a foreign language, and displayed leadership through a class or club officer position.

Brownstown Improvement Group Fund

To provide support for uniting Brownstown neighbors to revitalize their community.

Brush Valley Antique Iron and Power Club Scholarship Fund

To provide a minimum of one $500 scholarship awarded annually to recognize and support students who are active in Future Farmers of America Club at select school districts.

Bryan J. & Catherine Ann Lohr Fund

A donor advised fund with a focus on the needs of children, animals and community.

C.B. Ellis Canal Fund

To benefit organizations working to preserve the Pennsylvania Canal. Mr. Ellis owned two canal boats that traveled between Johnstown and Pittsburgh on the Pennsylvania Canal.

Cambria County Backpack Project Fund

The Cambria County Backpack Project provides weekend meals to over 500 children in Cambria County who suffer from chronic hunger. Every $5 donated provides a full bag of six ready to eat meals to a child for the weekend. A donation of $200 provides weekend meals to a child for an entire school year.

Cambria County Clothing Boutique Fund

To provide dress and hygiene items to children so that they are adequately clothed for school.

Cambria County Conservation District Fund

To educate and assist the public through programs, projects, and leadership in the stewardship of natural resources to sustain and enhance the quality of life.

Cambria County Coroner’s Office Yellow Ribbon Program Fund

To provide support for programs that work to educate individuals of all ages about suicide, implement initiatives that work to prevent suicide, and hold events that allow loss survivors to memorialize and remember loved ones who have died by suicide.

Cambria County Cultural Fund

To provide support for arts and cultural organizations in Cambria County.

Cambria County Drug Coalition Fund

To provide support for the Cambria County Drug Coalition, as directed by the Executive Board and Board of Directors.

Cambria County Health and Welfare Council Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for an individual residing in Cambria County who has been accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in Cambria County with the goal of receiving a certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in a human service field.

Cambria County Human Trafficking Response Team Fund

To provide support for enabling the discovery of and response to incidents of human trafficking in Cambria County through a victim-centered, multidisciplinary, and collaborative community effort.

Cambria County Library Fund

To provide a perpetual source of income to purchase new library materials that will meet the educational and recreational needs of people of all ages, at the same time honoring the contributor.

Cambria County Medical Society Fund

To provide support for the Cambria County Medical Society, which promotes the professional, academic, and charitable endeavors of the physicians of our community.

Cambria County SART Fund

To provide support for the Cambria County Sexual Assault Response Team, a group whose members provide direct support for victims of sexual assault and work together to improve the response to victims and to reduce the incidence of sexual violence in the community.

Cambria County SERT Fund

To support the effort of the Cambria County Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) to provide ongoing training, equipment, leadership and financial support necessary to maintain a tactical team to resolve critical incidents involving a threat to public safety.

Cambria County Shop with a Cop Fund

To provide support for Cambria County Shop with a Cop program, a program that provides children who were the victim of crime, witnessed or experienced trauma, or have dealt with other unfortunate circumstances the opportunity to go shopping with a police officer from their area.

Cambria County Suicide Prevention Task Force Fund

To provide support for all efforts and activities of the Cambria County Suicide Prevention Task Force, which works to support those affected by suicide, provide education and understanding by collaborating with the community to prevent suicide, provide crisis intervention, and reduce the stigma associated with suicide.

Cambria – Indiana Farmer Assistance Fund

To provide funding for small farmers in Indiana and Cambria counties to support business plan development that focuses on sustainable farming models, including providing match funding for sustainable farming projects and the development of conservation best management practices.

Cambria/Somerset Easter Seals Fund

To provide funds for the care and treatment of people with communication disabilities, specifically hearing and speech, in Cambria and Somerset counties.

Camp Allegheny Fund

To provide an endowment, which will benefit Camp Allegheny facilities and programs.

Camp Cadet of Somerset County Fund

To support any endeavor that benefits Camp Cadet of Somerset County.

Camp Cadet of Somerset County William “Bob” Bastian Memorial Scholarship

To provide two $1,000 scholarships annually for graduating Somerset County seniors pursuing post-secondary education and who are graduates of Camp Cadet of Somerset County. Students majoring in criminal justice will receive an additional $250.

Camp PARC Forever Friends Fund

To support special projects at the discretion of the Camp PARC Board of Trustees.

Camp PARC Helping Hand Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarships to high school student volunteers looking to pursue higher education.

Can-Do Clayworks Foundation Fund

To provide support for Patton Park and Pool and the community of Patton.

Candida Martella and Sylvia Martella Webster Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarships for qualified Forest Hills High School Graduate(s) wanting to pursue a major in Elementary Education at one of the following five designated colleges or universities: Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Lock Haven University, Mount Aloysius College at Cresson, Saint Francis College at Loretto, and University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. These funds will be available to students in dire financial needs and who have demonstrated a serious desire to attend college by maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Car Seats 4 Christmas Fund

To provide support for families in Bedford County and surrounding areas, who are in need, with a safe and appropriate car seat for babies and children.

Caramela Charitable Trust Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Dubois Area High School, Curwensville Area High School, and Dubois Central Catholic High School, and a student from Lock Haven University, to support students who plan to pursue a career in either teaching or arts, such as sculpture, painting, graphics, etc.

Care Project Fund

To provide items of physical comfort and spiritual support to individuals undergoing medical treatment for cancer or other life-threatening conditions.

Caressa Kovalcik Memorial Fund

To provide support for children who have been adopted, live in foster care, or are being raised by a single mother or their grandparents, either through grants to non-profit organizations or scholarships to students.

Staff Sergeant Alvin P. Carey and Private John C. Ewing Medal of Honor Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for senior students who attend Ligonier Valley High School, Greater Latrobe High School, or Mount Pleasant Area High School who either have made a commitment to serve in the military or have a family member who is serving or has honorably served in the military. This award was created to honor two local Medal of Honor winners. Sgt. Carey was a Ligonier graduate killed in action during World War II. Pvt. Ewing was born in the Ligonier Valley and honored for his bravery in action during the Civil War.
