SUMMARY:A Night with Fitzgerald Gala
DESCRIPTION:Operation:BeYoutiful is a charitable organization that provides wigs and specialized programming to girls and women that are battling medically related hair loss in Cambria\, Somerset and surrounding counties. \nThis year’s gala is “A Night with Fitzgerald” a Great Gatsby themed event and it promises to be an evening filled with inspiration\, entertainment\, and meaningful connections. Between both events\, our goal is to raise $75\,000 this year which will go directly towards providing a high-quality wig and an amazing experience and programming for our recipients. In addition to the wig\, we provide gift certificates for both a wig cleaning and two spa treatments. We also offer monthly meetups\, meals\, house cleaning and counseling services as a part of our overall wellness package. I am so proud to say that all our relationships are with locally owned businesses and all monies raised stay in our local community\, so you know you are making an impact where you live and work. \nSince we provide all services at no cost to the recipient\, we are dependent on fundraising\, grant funding as well as the generosity of businesses\, local organizations\, and individuals. \n

SUMMARY:PLAN: Clean Energy Finance Strategies for State and Local Governments
DESCRIPTION:New financing tools in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) can enhance public\, private\, and non-profit investments in clean energy projects. This session will provide an overview of the grant programs\, innovative financing tools and tax credits in the IRA and the IIJA. This session will also attempt to highlight how renewable energy\, energy efficiency and other investment incentives in the IRA may provide new opportunities for non-profit organizations and third-party private investors to participate in local development projects.
