SUMMARY:Berlin Brothersvalley Foundation Golf Scramble
DESCRIPTION:The Berlin Brothersvalley School District Foundation is planning a Golf Scramble to be held at Northwinds Golf Course and the Peninsula Course on Saturday\, August 5\, 2023. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Tee time is 9:00 a.m. Registration fee includes lunch and a cart. \nOur Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of education. The proceeds of the Golf Scramble benefit our students by way of financial resources for educational programs and scholarships for graduates. This past year students in grades k-12 participated in enrichment programs\, requested and facilitated by our teachers\, that were offered during the school day\, after school\, and in the summer. High school programs included virtual sheep brain and hands-on biology dissection\, a trip to the theater for 9th grade students\, and the publication of student books. Students in grades 2-8 enjoyed the after-school LEGO League and robotics competition. Middle school students participated in a Classroom Economy program. Foundation funds also support a well-attended summer MAKE Camp for elementary and middle school students that provides students with opportunities to develop engineering skills. Advanced Placement Test reimbursement for high school students was funded by the foundation. We are also helping to send 3 disadvantaged students to Camp Soles for a week this summer. Approximately $15\,067 was donated by the BBSD Foundation over the past year to provide these opportunities and experiences for students at Berlin Brothersvalley.

DESCRIPTION:CHJ 6th Annual “Fore Kids” Great Golf Ball Drop Fundraising Event\nThe proceeds from the sixth annual CHJ “Fore Kids” Great Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser will help the abused children in these programs. \nHere’s how it works – sell tickets for 5\,000 numbered golf balls – 1 for $5. Using a telehandler\, we’ll drop all the golf balls sold onto a bulls-eye on a field. Several large monetary prizes are awarded to those whose tickets represent the balls that land closest to the bulls-eye. You do not have to be present to win. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
