SUMMARY:Good Vibes Save Lives
DESCRIPTION:Somerset County Suicide Prevention Task Force presents the sixth annual concert fundraiser at Laurel Arts Center in Somerset PA. There will be live music from some very talented local musicians. There will be a memorial walk for suicide loss survivors\, a scrolling memorial wall as well as luminaria which will be lit at dusk to memorialize those loved ones lost to suicide. This year we will have a featured guest speaker\, Jennifer Silbaugh\, author of A Dove in the Shadows to discuss her lived experience story surrounding her 20-year battle with mental health issues. We will also have some new t-shirts for sale. There will also be many other local agencies and organizations providing community resources and information as well as informational sessions. We will have a food truck for people to purchase snacks\, meals and drinks as well as an ice cream truck where the Somerset County Dairy Princess and friends will be scooping ice cream for a sweet treat during the early evening. We will also have some crafts and other activities for attendees and kids to participate in.

DESCRIPTION:The Windber Rambler Lettermen’s Club will hold its 19th annual golf classic on Saturday\, June 14th at ‎Northwinds Golf Course at Indian Lake. Thanks to the generosity of our participants from previous years\, ‎we have had the honor of providing life-changing opportunities to our student-athletes to enhance their ‎growth and development\, athletically\, academically and socially. \nAt the heart of the Windber Lettermen’s Club (WRLC) lies a profound commitment to fostering character\, leadership\, and excellence in the student-athletes of the Windber Area School District. Through a strategic set of objectives\, the WLC collaborates with the local community\, businesses\, and school district to cultivate well-rounded individuals who embody the spirit of “being a good teammate” both on and off the field. DESCRIPTION:The Johnstown Walk of Hope is a nonprofit initiative started in 2016\, with the goal of raising money for patients with a cancer diagnosis. The JWOH mission is to lessen the financial load so that patients can concentrate on staying strong and getting well. The money raised supports patient expenses that include medical\, household and travel expenses. ALL donations support patients who receive care LOCALLY regardless of where they live in Cambria\, Somerset and Bedford Counties.

Through events like its Chili Open Golf Tournament\, the MHBC Foundation has emerged as an integral component to UPMC Bedford’s ability to improve the health of the community it serves. DESCRIPTION:The seventh Annual Heidi and Tom Allison Memorial Golf Outing is a charitable event in memory of Heidi Allison and her brother-in-law\, Thomas Allison\, who passed away the same day – August 17\, 2018. The proceeds of this event will benefit the ICTC HEIDI ALLISON CHARACTER AWARD. \nThis fund was created in memory of Heidi Allison\, a health occupations instructor at Indiana County Technology Center. Heidi touched countless hearts and had an especially profound impact on her students. Heidi will long be remembered for nurturing young lives into adulthood through kindness\, compassion\, integrity and respect\, exemplifying the foundational attributes that enhance student success in the classroom and beyond. Each year a graduating senior from ICTC will be awarded the Heidi Allison Character Award to recognize and affirm the importance of these basic traits to a productive and fulfilling life\, whether it involves advancing one’s education\, entering the workforce or contributing to one’s community. The goal of this fund is to provide meaningful support to help launch an ICTC student in the next phase of his or her life.
