Secret Santa of Somerset and Surrounding Areas provides hundreds of holiday fruit baskets to the elderly\, disabled persons\, hospice patients\, shut-ins\, and homeless people. Organizers also purchase and assemble holiday packaged for about 350 children\, with clothes\, hats\, gloves\, books\, a toy\, and candy. \nS.O.S delivers smiles year round\, to families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet.  This basket party is their biggest fundraiser of the year\, drawing between 400 and 500 people. It’s a party you don’t want to miss\, supporting a cause you can feel great about! \n$10 admission includes entry\, door prize\, and 25 tickets. DESCRIPTION:Workshop for Defense Companies\, Manufacturers\, and Makers: \nAs a part of Cambria County’s Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment initiatives to help diversify the regional economy\, Creator Square is hosting a 1-day Manufacturing Diversification and Maker-related workshop with Dr. Peter Allen\, a highly experienced business strategic and consultant with 30 years experience and a PhD in Solid State Physics. Dr. Allan currently works at Bally Design\, a long established cutting-edge design firm in downtown Pittsburgh. His full biography is further below. \nDonald Bonk\, Director of Entrepreneurial Alchemy\, another DOD-related county project\, and a consultant to Carnegie Mellon\, will co-host the discussion with Peter.
