DESCRIPTION:The seventh Annual Heidi and Tom Allison Memorial Golf Outing is a charitable event in memory of Heidi Allison and her brother-in-law\, Thomas Allison\, who passed away the same day – August 17\, 2018. The proceeds of this event will benefit the ICTC HEIDI ALLISON CHARACTER AWARD. \nThis fund was created in memory of Heidi Allison\, a health occupations instructor at Indiana County Technology Center. Heidi touched countless hearts and had an especially profound impact on her students. Heidi will long be remembered for nurturing young lives into adulthood through kindness\, compassion\, integrity and respect\, exemplifying the foundational attributes that enhance student success in the classroom and beyond. Each year a graduating senior from ICTC will be awarded the Heidi Allison Character Award to recognize and affirm the importance of these basic traits to a productive and fulfilling life\, whether it involves advancing one’s education\, entering the workforce or contributing to one’s community. The goal of this fund is to provide meaningful support to help launch an ICTC student in the next phase of his or her life.

This year’s tour features five historic homes decorated for the season\, including several that have never been on display before. You’ll see Tudor-style\, Colonial\, and even a home that is reminiscent of a French Chateau. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the timeless character and craftsmanship of these beautiful homes\, meet homeowners\, and see unique decorations and vintage architectural details. You’ll also be able to stop by SEADS Garden Center\, a nonprofit job training program for people with barriers to employment. SEADS will offer wreathes\, garland\, and other holiday items. \nThe event takes place on Sunday\, December 8th from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are available through the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies for $35. The featured homes are within walking distance on Luzerne and Wayne streets and Diamond Boulevard. Participants must pre-purchase tickets and check in at Studio U\, 828 Luzerne Street.
