Now in its thirteenth season\, the series continues to evolve. \nFeatured musicians for this date: The Three Rivers Saxophone Quartet \nThe Three Rivers Saxophone Quartet was formed in May 1973 to explore the wealth of literature written for such quartets. At that time the members were students at Duquesne University\, but they have kept the group together over the years. The repertoire has expanded to include music from the Renaissance and Classical offerings to Ragtime and Jazz; as well as original compositions written especially for the group\, which includes Warren Yeckel\, Baritone Saxophone; Mike Jacob\, Alto Saxophone; Steve Ehrin\, Tenor Saxophone; and Marino Galluzzo\, Soprano Saxophone. \nTickets are $10 for seniors\, $5 for students\, $15 for adults\, and $25 for couples.

DESCRIPTION:The Community Connection Team once again presents a production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” to celebrate V-Day 2020\, a global activist movement aimed at stopping violence against women and girls. This year’s show is directed by Rachel Allen and features over 20 local women actresses. Each of the monologues deals with an aspect of the feminine experience\, touching on matters such as sex\, body image\, love\, rape\, menstruation\, and more. \nProceeds from the production will benefit the Trauma Sensitive Yoga program\, a collaboration of Yoga Song\, Victim Services Inc.\, BOTTLE WORKS Ethnic Arts Center\, and Women’s Help Center. The partners in this collaboration work together to create a safe and healing environment through the practices of trauma-informed yoga and the healing arts that allow survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence the potential to reclaim the body in the healing process\, therefore\, reclaiming one’s life. Now in its thirteenth season\, the series continues to evolve. \nFeatured musicians for this date: The Altoona Brass Collective \nThe Altoona Brass Collective\, directed by Doug Stephens\, was formed in 2017 by musicians in the central Pennsylvania area sharing a love of brass instruments\, quality music\, and live performance. All of ABC’s repertoire has been written specifically for the ensemble. Members of the group have received their training at the music schools of Clarion\, Duquesne\, Penn State\, Slippery Rock\, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. These professionals serve as educators in the school districts of Altoona\, Bedford\, Bellwood\, Bishop-Guilfoyle\, Dubois\, Hollidaysburg\, Portage\, and Holy Trinity. These performers share a common goal: To bring high quality live music to central Pennsylvania. \nTickets are $10 for seniors\, $5 for students\, $15 for adults\, and $25 for couples.

Now in its thirteenth season\, the series continues to evolve. \nFeatured musicians for this date: Harp and Flute Duo – Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Audition Winner \nFlautist Phoebe Robertson has performed in concert halls across North America and Europe to great acclaim. A native of Canada\, she has been awarded many of her country’s most prestigious distinctions for young musicians. Mia Venezia is a first-year graduate harp performance student at Northwestern University\, and earned her undergraduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University. Born and raised near Philadelphia\, Ms. Venezia has performed with several symphony orchestras and is a member of the Tartan Trio which played for JCS in October 2017. \nTickets are $10 for seniors\, $5 for students\, $15 for adults\, and $25 for couples.
