SUMMARY:6th Annual Luke Patton Memorial Golf Outing and Community Day
DESCRIPTION:First Group Check-In: 7:30 am \nShotgun Start Tee Times: 8:00\, 10:30\, 1:00\, 3:30 \nCost: $60 per player\, $240 per foursome. Single registrations are being accepted this year. To purchase a single\, you have to be a single player. DO NOT PURCHASE 4 SINGLES AND EXPECT TO BE A TEAM. \nThe Luke Patton Memorial Foundation was established in 2021 when our son and brother passed away due to complications from a rare disease known as Myositis. During our darkest days\, we were determined to leave a positive legacy that would honor Luke’s kind spirit and love for music\, and it has turned into a celebration! This year’s event is on June 6\, 2026\, at Berkley Hills Golf Course. In addition to a 9-hole scramble tournament\, there will be a longest drive competition\, basket raffle\, kid’s crafts and games\, silent auction items\, music\, food\, drinks and ice cream! As we continue coordinating this growing family-friendly event\, it is our hope that you will consider sponsorship in some way and come enjoy the day. You do not have to golf to come visit with us and share in the festivities. \nSponsorship proceeds will be divided into three main outreach efforts: \n1. To provide families with support who have experienced a sudden loss during the holiday season \n2. To encourage children & teens’ passion for music\, especially guitar\, through lessons & equipment \n3. To contribute to Myositis research\, education\, and advocacy efforts \nThe 2025 tournament filled quickly\, with 208 individual golfers. Because of the generosity of sponsorships and charitable donations\, over $45\,000 was raised for the foundation! \n  \nLuke would be so honored to know the impact his life has had on the people he loved and the community he called home. He will be forever in our hearts.

SUMMARY:Heidi and Tom Allison Memorial Golf Outing
DESCRIPTION:The Eighth Annual Heidi and Tom Allison Memorial Golf Outing is a charitable event in memory of Heidi Allison and her brother-in-law\, Thomas Allison\, who passed away the same day -August 17\, 2018. The proceeds of this event will benefit the ICTC HEIDI ALLISON CHARACTER AWARD. $80 per golfer ($320 per foursome) Course is limited to 30 teams – please register early to secure your spot! Cost is $320 for a team of four. \nHeidi demonstrated dedication to her students’ success in all aspects of their lives – academically\, professionally\, and personally. Her students learned so much more than just how to be an effective health care professional: they learned the soft skills and character traits so desperately needed in today’s society – compassion\, kindness\, genuine empathy\, and above all love. They applied their skills on a daily basis and with each challenge\, quickly learned that focusing on “solutions” was ALWAYS more effective than dwelling on the “problems”. They stood by their beloved teacher until the end – reciprocating the very love and support that their beloved Mrs. Allison demonstrated to them on a daily basis. \nHeidi’s unique character defined her. She was the epitome of kindness and empathy. Her genuine love for humankind was demonstrated by her inherent desire to always put others first. The Heidi Allison Character Award celebrates the impact of Heidi’s life by recognizing students who demonstrate these traits on a daily basis – and who\, in turn\, are helping to make the world a better place – one act of kindness at a time. \nThis fund was created in memory of Heidi Allison\, a health occupations instructor at Indiana County Technology Center. Heidi touched countless hearts\, and had an especially profound impact on her students. Heidi will long be remembered for nurturing young lives into adulthood through kindness\, compassion\, integrity and respect\, exemplifying the foundational attributes that enhance student success in the classroom and beyond. Each year a graduating senior from ICTC will be awarded the Heidi Allison Character Award to recognize and affirm the importance of these basic traits to a productive and fulfilling life\, whether it involves advancing one’s education\, entering the workforce or contributing to one’s community. The goal of this fund is to provide meaningful support to help launch an ICTC student in the next phase of his or her life.

SUMMARY:Thank a Farmer Dash
DESCRIPTION:November is a time for giving thanks for all of the things in our lives. The bountiful feast that we will all enjoy on Thanksgiving is the result of the hard work of farmers. To support our small farmers in Cambria and Indiana counties\, we’ve set up a fund at the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. The purpose of the fund is to provide small grants to support business plan development that focuses on sustainable (profitable) farming models\, including providing match funding for sustainable farming projects and the development of conservation best management practices. All proceeds from this race are deposited in this fund for future grant making and support for our local small farmers. Join us for a great event while supporting a vital cause!

SUMMARY:Babes for Babies
DESCRIPTION:The Stork Fund is excited to announce the return of our Babes for Babies Fashion Event (formerly Dresses Drinks & Divas) on Friday\, November 14\, 2025\, at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johnstown\, PA. This evening of fashion and fun brings together friends\, local boutiques\, and community members to support an important cause—helping families achieve their dreams of parenthood through the Stork Fund. Over the years\, the Stork Fund has raised more than $200\,000 since 2019\, providing direct financial assistance to local families within 50 miles of the 15901 zip code. These funds help cover the costs of fertility treatments and adoption fees—expenses that can otherwise prevent many from growing their families. The Babes for Babies Fashion Event is a highlight in our community\, drawing over 350 attendees in past years. This year’s show will feature looks from three beloved boutiques: Feathered Lane\, Song of Sixpence\, and Celestial Brides and Prom. In addition to the runway fashion\, guests will enjoy shopping\, raffles\, and plenty of opportunities to connect—all while supporting the Stork Fund’s mission.

SUMMARY:Basket Party & Spaghetti Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The Conemaugh Township Volunteer Fire Department and Johnstown Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) are hosting a joint Basket Party/Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday\, November 8th and Sunday\, November 9th at the Conemaugh Township Volunteer Fire Department. \nThe Johnstown Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) consists of animal advocates\, trappers and rescues who have combined resources to bring positive change to the many animal welfare problems in the City of Johnstown and its surrounding communities. Many of these individuals have small in-home rescues\, in addition to working full-time jobs. Everything we do is volunteer based and much of the rescue funds come out of their own pockets. Proceeds will be used for initiatives like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs\, community outreach and monetary support for our rescues. We are always in need of wet and dry food\, litter\, cleaning supplies\, medication\, blankets\, dewormer\, and flea treatment. JAWS is a Vision 2025 Capture Team and operates as a nonprofit under the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. \nYour support is invaluable and greatly appreciated! Any amount\, no matter how small will make a significant difference in our efforts. We also welcome non-monetary donations\, such as baskets filled with your favorite food\, household items\, gift certificates (restaurants\, grocery\, hair salon\, area stores\, etc.)\, bath accessories\, event tickets\, car washes\, etc. \nConemaugh Township Volunteer Fire Department relies entirely on grants\, fundraisers\, and the generosity of our community. Every donation\, big or small\, directly impacts our ability to respond to emergencies effectively. Your support helps us purchase vital equipment upgrades and provide critical training for our dedicated volunteers\, ensuring they have the resources to protect you and your loved ones. \nTo express our gratitude for your generosity\, we would be pleased to acknowledge your contribution publicly\, on our website or social media platforms\, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. All donations are tax deductible and proceeds from this event will support ongoing operations and critical services provided by both organizations. \nIf you would like to donate\, please contact Kathi Howrylak or Sharon Novatny to arrange drop off or pick-up of your donation. Thank you for your time and consideration. Your generosity will make a real difference in our ability to support the fire department and the feral/stray cat population in our communities.

SUMMARY:Pirates of the Caribbean Gala
DESCRIPTION:Operation:BeYoutiful is a charitable organization providing wigs and specialized programming to girls and women battling medically related hair loss in Cambria\, Somerset\, and surrounding counties. We feel that part of the healing process is feeling good. Our program focuses on overall well-being and trying to instill a sense of “normalcy” back into our gals’ lives while they are going through a very abnormal time. \nThis year’s gala is a “Pirates of the Caribbean” themed event and it promises to be an evening filled with inspiration\, entertainment\, and meaningful connections. Between both events\, our goal is to raise $75\,000 this year which will go directly towards providing a high-quality wig and an amazing experience and specialized programming for our recipients. In addition to the wig\, we provide gift certificates for both a wig cleaning and two spa treatments. We also offer monthly meetups\, meals\, house cleaning\, yoga classes\, essential oils and counseling services as a part of our overall wellness package. I am so proud to say that all our relationships are with locally owned businesses and all monies raised stay in our local community\, so you know you are making an impact where you live and work. Since we provide all products and services at no cost to the recipient\, we are dependent on fundraising\, grant funding as well as the generosity of businesses\, local organizations\, and individuals.
