You could be part of one of the region’s most active change-making organizations.

The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies is the area’s only nonprofit founded to support a variety of philanthropic needs in our community—from education and community development to the environment, culture, and more—through donor engagement. At the close of the 2018 fiscal year, the Foundation stood at over 700 funds, distributing more than $5 million in grants and more than $500,000 in scholarship awards, all supported by close to 5,000 individual donors.

The Foundation currently has two exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, community-minded county directors: a Bedford County Director to work in the Foundation’s Bedford office and a Somerset County Director to work in the Foundation’s Somerset office.

Responsibilities for the Somerset-based position include:

  • Advance Foundation interests in convening or supporting civic activities as appropriate for the betterment of the community
  • Participation in Foundation internal and external meetings as required
  • Administrative duties as needed
