Challenge Program Fund-to benefit the Challenge Program, a program founded by MTS Technologies Founder and CEO Dan Perkins, designed to foster the professional growth of local young people before and after high school graduation.

Copley Fund for Critters-to insure that the Bedford County Humane Society and/or other organizations with the same mission are adequately funded. The welfare of starving, abused and neglected animals is to be the focus of the fund.

Greater Johnstown/ACRP Innovative Education Enrichment Prog Fund- to supplement the Greater Johnstown School District's regular education, reading program.  The program targets young children from the ages of birth through third grade.  The project joins many agencies, which focus on early literacy, in an effort to (1) develop a common approach to ensuring all students will have readiness skills prior to entering kindergarten, and (2) supplement the efforts of the basic education system for students in grades kindergarten through grade three.

Michael's Fund-to provide assistance to needy elementary students of United School District. This class of student shall be determined by participation in the government subsidized lunch program.

Jim Miller Summer Excellence Grant Fund-to provide an annual grant to an underclassman at Bishop McCort High School pursuing a summer educational program that will enhance the academic or extracurricular experience of the student beyond what the student can receive at Bishop McCort High School.

Sandyvale Memorial Gardens and Arboretum Fund-to provide for the programs and objectives of the Memorial Gardens. The Sandyvale Cemetery is located on the outskirts of the Hornerstown Industrial Park in Johnstown.  Since 1840, it has been the final resting-place for many of Johnstown's former families, elected officials, City Fathers, flood victims and veterans of nine wars.

Saturday's Kitchen-to be directed to the Family Kitchen to have meals provided on weekends and to provide for operation on weekends.  As a contingent, the fund may also provide support to area food pantries and the Food Bank.

September 11th 2003 - Flight 93 Memorial Event Fund-to profide support to the September 11, 2003 Flight 93 Memorial Event.

Spirit of Johnstown Fund-to build a combination unit truck for donation to City of New Orleans started by GapVax, Inc.

Marlin Stephens Beautification Fund-to provide funds for local garden clubs to plant flowers and shrubbery on an annual basis along hillsides and right-of-ways in the region.

Isadore Suchman Fund-to benefit the David A. Glosser Memorial Library by providing an honorary bookshelf that will hold reference books on genealogy, and a computer that can be used by local residents and visitors to track their historical roots.

Supowitz Homeless Fund-to provide contributions to the Salvation Army for support of the homeless in the region, inspired by Mr. Supowitz's encounter with the organization following the 1977 Johnstown Flood.

Jim Suttmiller Memorial Fund-to support youth basketball in memory of Jim Suttmiller, a long-time youth basketball coach.

Tell With Pride Fund (Together Embracing Limb Loss With Pride)-to support the effort of the Donors in any endeavor that educates, improves and counsels the family and members of the Tell With Pride Amputee Group as well as cancer, nerve injury, pain management, diabetes and others in need.

Tribune Democrat Santa Fund-to support the effort of the donors to provide charitable gifts of toys to underserved children.

Windber Borough Beautification Fund- a challenge fund to which citizens, business, and professional persons can contribute to projects not possible with local tax resources and which would enhance the attractiveness and comfort of the borough for it's citizens and visitors. Established in 2007, the fund goal is $50,000.00.

Scholarship Funds
Academic Alumni Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships to Johnstown High School graduates who wish to further their education in a college, university or technical school. A group of teachers, both active and retired, established this fund in 1997. Caring graduates of Johnstown High School contribute monies for this fund.

American Red Cross Blood Services High School Scholarship Fund-to award youth scholarships in recognition of the outstanding support for American Red Cross Blood Services provided by regional high school student blood donors.

AmeriServ Financial Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship for a child, grandchild, niece, or nephew of an employee of AmeriServ Financial, Inc. or its affiliates, who has demonstrated academic achievement and plans to attend one of several local colleges.

Anderson Family Scholarship Fund-to benefit a student attending Mount Aloysius College.  Created as part of the 100 Families project.

Janet Bala Anthony Scholarship Fund-to provide a $500.00 scholarship to a graduating Greater Johnstown High School student intending to major in education with a concentration in English.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Apollo Award Fund-to provide scholarships to local students attending medical school who have expressed an interest in returning to the area to practice medicine.

Louise S. Atwell Memorial Music Scholarship Fund-to provide a variety of scholarships for music or music education majors, annually, to a senior at Meyersdale Area High School.

Mitchell and Rebecca Azar Family Scholarship Fund- to benefit annually a graduating student of Westmont Hilltop High School with a scholarship award.  Students must have at least a 94% grade average and attend one of the following institutions: Washington and Jefferson College, George Washington University, West Virginia University, or Pennsylvania State University.  The selected candidate will also have demonstrated leadership or community service involvement.

Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund-to benefit a Portage Area High School senior band member who has achieved honor roll status and is involved in community and church service activities.  Established in memory of James H. and Helen Varner Baker and Leonard J. and Adeline Garbacz Baker.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Madame Trudy Banks Scholarship Fund- to provide an endowment which will fund a scholarship to be distributed annually to a graduate of Portage Area High School who is pursuing an accredited post secondary education. This distribution shall continue annually for the length of the student's education as long as the post secondary school verifies that satisfactory progress is being made towards graduation. 

Rick and Trudy Barefoot Fund-to support any endeavor that enhances Chestnut Ridge High School students' education.

Paul D. Bennett and Doris Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship in the amount of 5% to be distributed annually from the Fund,  to a minority student.  In selecting a recipient of the scholarship, the following shall be considered: a minority student attending a four year college.  The student must be a resident of Cambria County, PA. Erin Michael Bosworth Scholarship Fund-to benefit the further education of a Forest Hills' student pursuing the fine arts.

Jack Buchan, Sr. Trojan Stadium Award Fund-to provide a scholarship to a Johnstown High School graduating football player who has demonstrated academic excellence, good character, sportsmanship, leadershilp, and financial need.

A.H. Chatfield, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship awarded to a Beltie Youth Group member, a Belted Galloway member, or a child or grandchild of a Belted Galloway member furthering studies in agriculture or animal husbandry.

Conemaugh Township Class of 1945  Arrowhead Award Scholarship-to purchase $100 US Savings bond for a student at Conemaugh Township High School. The current graduating class shall choose the recipient. All-around good student; not necessarily outstanding.

George and Eve Cook Charitable Gift Annuity Fund-for scholarships to Somerset County students attending the Allegheny College of Maryland - Somerset County Campus.

Ron DiBuono-Don Gallucci Friendship Award Fund-to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Greater Johnstown High School, established by friends and family of Ron DiBuono and Don Gallucci.

Judy R. Drenning Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships to students within the North Star School District that have been involved in the Learning Support Program.

Pete Duranko Scholarship Fund-to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating male/female from Bishop Mccort High School of outstanding character and notable athletic achievement.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Lurene M. Hartman Durna Educational Scholarship Fund-to assist two graduates of Meyersdale High School majoring in education.

Justin D. Ellis Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship for a student studying art at Castle High School, Newburg, Indiana, who may wish to continue art studies as part of his or her college education.

Job Mann Trust Fund-to provide financial assistance to worthy and needy residents of Bedford County in their educational pursuits in preparation for serving as a Minister of the Gospel (i.e., "Parish Pastor") in churches which practice evangelical Christianity.

Johnstown Area Life Underwriters Fund for the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College-to support the students of Pennsylvania Highland Community College.

Johnstown Area Music Scholarship Fund-to assist a student in the pursuit of an education in music.

Johnstown High School Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund-to provide a $500 scholarship for one Johnstown High School student in good academic standing who participates in community service and has unmet finanial need.

Elbert and Lillie Mae Jones Scholarship Fund-to provide an annual scholarship to a Conemaugh Valley High School Senior. Consideration shall be give to the following: African American, average or better student and an accredited post-secondary school and distributed through the Greater Johnstown Minority Scholars Club. James Kocher Memorial Music Scholarship Fund- to provide a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 annually to a Westmont Hilltop High School senior student. The student selected is to be pursuing a major or minor degree in music. Mr. Kocher's love of music inspired his family to create this endowment in 2007. Mr. Kocher conducted the Johnstown Reed Band for 25 years, was a clarinetist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra for 20 years, music director at Franklin St. Methodist Church and choir director for the Westmont Church of the Brethren. H.R. and Helen Konhaus Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship for a graduating senior of Meyersdale Area High School who has a demonstrated financial need and a career interest in any health related field.

Doris Jean Lazere Scholarship Fund- to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship in the amount of $200.00 to be distributed annually from the fund, to a graduating student from Portage High School who intends to pursue a career in nursing with priority given to a student from Cassandra Borough. Meyersdale Area Education Association Staff Memorial Scholarship Fund-to benefit graduates that will continue their education in a college, university or technical school.  This scholarship is in memory of all staff members who gave their time and talent to educate the children of the Meyersdale Area School District.

Jim Miller Scholarship Fund- to provide an annual scholarship award to the graduating Valedictorian(s) at Bishop McCort High School pursuing a post-secondary education, established by Crown Investments Trust in memory of Jim Miller, a former Guidance Counselor at Bishop McCort High School. 

Walter F. Mitchell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior at Greater Johnstown High School, Richland Area High School or Turkeyfoot Area High School who intends to pursue a career in electrical engineering and who meets certain criteria.

Myrtle and Walter Davis Scholarship-to provide a scholarship to an Indiana High School student.

Melissa O'Kinsky Scholarship Fund-to assist students from Somerst Area High School enrolled in the School of Education at Slippery Rock University.

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Scholarship Fund-to support students of the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College.

Dr. Joseph Donald Plummer & Mrs. Marianne Plummer Scholarship Fund- to provide an endowment, which will provide a scholarship to a Bishop McCort High School Senior who will be attending Seton Hill University. Students to be considered should exhibit good values, strong community service, and display a caring and compassionate nature, established by daughter, Nancy L. Heider in memory of her beloved parents. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Steve Purich Scholarship Award Fund-to provide scholarships to students from the following school districts: Greater Johnstown, Ferndale Area, Conemaugh Valley, Westmont Hilltop, and/or Richland Area.

REACH Service Award at St. Michael Catholic Church Fund- to benefit the REACH (Religious Education And Christian Helping) Service Award at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael, PA benefits youth members of the St. Michael Catholic Church Parish, St. Michael, who have achieved a certain number of community service hours.

Dr. Harry M. Rhoads Scholarship Fund-to benefit an under-funded, graduating senior at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown who will be attending an accredited medical school.

Homer D. Rice Sportsmanship Award Fund-to provide a scholarship award to one male and one female student-athlete graduating from Greater Johnstown High School who exemplify the values Homer Rice ascribed to in his athletic endeavors, such as good sportsmanship.

Ronald S. Rivera Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior of Greater Johnstown High School intending to major in Business.

David J. Rizzo Scholarship Fund-to provide an annual scholarship award to students graduating from Windber Area High School pursuing a post-secondary education who have shown achievement in academics, athletics or extracurricular activity.

David A. Rizzo Soccer Sportsperson of the Year Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship to a soccer player who exemplifies true sportsmanship.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Mae A. Russell Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships for Shade-Central City School Districts seniors.

Shade Township Class of 1946 Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarship(s) to a graduate(s) of Shade Central City High School who intend to pursue higher education in an accredited college or university.

Fred and Nancy Shaffer Scholarship Fund, in memory of Mark A. Shaffer-to provide two scholarships per year to Somerset Area High School students, with priority given to those interested in pursuing pharmacy degrees and engineering degrees and demonstrating financial need.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Tyler Shaffer Scholarship Fund-to support any endeavor that benefits organizations, schools, including scholarships, and events that characterize the fun loving and giving spirit of our son Tyler.

Carl and Anna Sherbine Elementary Education Scholarship Fund-to provide an annual scholarship to benefit Forest Hills High School students continuing studies in elementary education.

Shuster Family Scholarship Fund- to provide a scholarship to graduating students from Everett Area High School pursuing a post-secondary education who have shown achievement in outstanding citizenship, leadership qualities, and community involvement, in honor of Bud Shuster's 70th Birthday.  Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Marie and Frank Slabe Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship to graduating students of Johnstown High School who will attend a four year liberal arts undergraduate college/university with the intention of attaining a bachelor of arts degree.

Hazel Jones Slater Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarship funds to students at Conemaugh Hospital's School of Nursing in perpetuity.

Somerset County School-to-Work Scholarship Program-to provide students the opportunity to prepare to enter a highly skilled, technically oriented career field. Instituted by Somerset Area Vocational Technical School.

St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church-to provide scholarships for the children and grandchildren of members of the congregation of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church as of June 3, 2007 as established by the Church Council.

Steph and Kris Scholarship Fund-to help further the education of a Shade-Central City Senior planning to attend a post-secondary trade school, college, or university, this fund is in memory of Steph Roman and Kris Zubek.

Jeff Strittmatter Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship for a Bishop Carroll High School senior who will further studies at St. Francis College.

Loretta Stumpo Scholarship Fund-to benefit a student from Greater Johnstown High School.

Swanson Family Award Fund-to provide an annual award to upper-level, non-traditional University of Pittsburgh of Johnstown students majoring in education, established by Community Foundation board member Rev. Dr. Robert and his wife, Caryl Swanson. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Steve and Hazel Terebus Fund-to benefit a graduating senior from Conemaugh Township High School excelling in compassionate concern of others and community service, initiated in 1994.

Steve J. Terebus Fund-to provide a scholarship to benefit a senior from Greater Johnstown High School.

Joseph L. and Georgia J. Uklayer UPJ Scholarship Fund-to assist worthy yet needy students of UPJ in math or engineering degrees.

United Parents in Education-to provide a scholarship to a United High School student.

United School District Scholarship Fund-to benefit graduates pursuing education at a college, university, and vocational/technical school or apprenticeship program.

United Ski Club-to provide a scholarship to a United High School student.

United Student Council-to provide a scholarship to a United High School student.

United Vocational Agriculture-to provide a scholarship to a United High School student.

Anthony F. and Ann R. Urbas Education Fund-to provide a scholarship annually to a student graduating from Bishop McCort High School.  Tutuion for Bishop McCort Students.

Eddie Vetock Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship for a caddy or Sunnehanna Country Club employee or a child of a Sunnehanna employee, this fund is in memory of Eddie Vetock, a long time caddy at Sunnehanna Country Club.

Brad Wess Scholarship Fund-to award scholarships to Senior Hockey Players choosing from applications from the eight High Schools in Cambria County and/or a Scholarship for a Senior from Forest Hills High School.

Westmont High School, Class of 1972-to provide scholarships for students at Westmont Hilltop High School.

Westmont/Upper Yoder  Class of 1947 Scholarship Fund-to provide a scholarship annually to graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School.

George F. Wheeling Athletic and Educational Trust Fund-to provide scholarships to student athletes.  Gifts designated in memory of Michael L. Elswick provide additional support to this fund.

The Rev. Robert G. Whisler Memorial Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships for members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church who intend to continue their education.

Windber Rambler Lettermen's Club Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships to one boy and one girl athlete as determined by the Windber Rambler Lettermen's Club Scholarship Committee.

Wright-Knox Scholarship-to provide a scholarship to a United High School student.

Nunzio S. and Flora D. Yocca Scholarship Fund-to provide scholarships for graduating students from Windber Area High School majoring in education, founded by their daughters and sons-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Day and Joseph and Susan Rupe.

Zahorchak Education-Economic Endowment Fund-to provide dual enrollment scholarships to eligible students from the three school districts where Dr. Gerald L. Zahorchak served students and established himself as an education leader.

Jeanne Allen Memorial Fund-to provide grants to various area organizations as the Community Foundation determines.  Established by Robert A. Allen in 1997 in memory of his wife, Jeanne M. Allen.

Ben Franklin Fund-to provide support for civic and community purposes in the Cambria/Somerset area, for charitable, educational & scientific purposes within nonprofit corp. to be distributed among deserving non-profit organizations in four counties.

Benjamin Bosler Fund-to support charitable grants to various area organizations.

Joseph Cauffiel Memorial Fund-to benefit the community and people of Johnstown.

Footprints Charitable Endowment Fund-to be distributed per the Distribution Committee.

Memorial Fund-to support various charitable needs, a pooled account of charitable gifts received in  memory of residents of our communities.
